DJ Rush started spinning in clubs at the age of 19. This led to hosting the radio show HOT91FM where he interviewed Damian Marley, Chris Brown, Hilltop Hoods, Talib Kweli & Mark “Chopper” Read amongst others. 2006 saw Rush land an internship in Los Angeles with DJ Skee & PR company House of Hype, working on projects such as: Skee.TV, Envy Expo, Grammy’s weekend, Magic Johnson poker tournament, Celebrity/NBA basketball games and assisting in Lionel Richie (I call it love) & The Game (One Blood) video shoots.
It was at this time he met the band 2AM Club + Young Murph along with numerous artists from the west coast developing the “California Dreaming” mixtape series, these mixtapes gained exclusive intros from Warren G + The Game. Rush launched his mixtapes in Sydney, Gold Coast, Hobart, Launceston, Noosa, Cairns, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra. Since then he has worked at Universal Music, hosted a mixtape for Young Money artist Tyga, modeled for DR.Jays in New York, started a clothing line & hosts the Rushour radio show on Rawfm.
Rush has also supported the likes of Cypress Hill, Scribe, Pharoahe Monch, Jean Grae and DJed at the Foreshore Music Festival which attracted 17,000 people.
